After nearly a year of absence, the Aural Hypnox shop is back online — thank you for stopping by.

The previous store was taken offline due to its outdated and overly heavy structure. Most notably, its age made it increasingly difficult to implement the latest security updates, which posed a risk to both our data and yours.

This new store platform does not support every feature we were previously used to, and especially setting up shipping options proved to be surprisingly challenging. That said, we hope everything works as intended. If you encounter any issues, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to resolve them as quickly as possible. Finally, a few words about shipping options. Depending on your location, there are generally three or four alternatives available: Economy Letter, Priority Letter, Parcel Connect, and standard registered parcels. Parcel Connect is mainly available within the Nordic countries and a few other EU destinations. If you are ordering only 1–2 CDs or a single shirt, the most cost-effective option is usually Economy or Priority Letter. Please note, however, that these shipments are not registered. If you choose unregistered shipping and your order is lost, unfortunately we have no way of tracking the shipment, nor can we compensate for the ordered items, as stated on the “Terms & Conditions” page. Once the total package weight exceeds 500 grams, the best option is either Parcel Connect or a registered parcel. Both are registered shipments. The site’s shipping calculator is configured so that orders over 500 g are always sent as registered shipments, even if the shipping method is listed as, for example, an economy or priority parcel.

And yes — shipping costs have increased significantly over the years. Unfortunately, this is something beyond our control. We use Posti, the Finnish state-owned postal service, for all shipments. NOTE: at the moment, Posti has delivery restrictions to certain countries, such as the USA and Russia. Please read more about this in the post below.

Shipping to the USA is currently suspended.

As of August 29, 2025, the U.S. government has removed the duty-free threshold for shipments valued up to USD 800. Under the new rules, customs duties must be paid before goods can be transported to the United States.

U.S. customs authorities have not yet clarified how these payments will be collected in practice, and postal operators currently lack systems to process the required duties. This has created uncertainty regarding shipping, returns, and liabilities.

For this reason, shipments to the United States are temporarily suspended. Several European countries, including Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, have announced similar suspensions of commercial shipments to the USA.

European postal operators are working closely with U.S. customs authorities and the Universal Postal Union to find a solution. The aim is to resume shipments as soon as possible, but for now the changes effective from August 29, 2025, remain in place.

Updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.

Postal services are currently suspended to the following countries as well: Bhutan, East Timor, Yemen, North Korea, Syria, Belarus, and Russia.

With the new shop now online, the following previously sold-out albums will return to the listings from my own personal storage.

To clarify: I once had a rather crazy idea that I would eventually put together an Aural Hypnox 30th anniversary box set. Now, a couple of decades later, I have to admit that physical storage space is starting to run out and is needed for new, upcoming releases. The records have been stored for many years in a dry, temperature-stable environment, and outwardly they still look the same as they did on their release day. Some Aural Hypnox releases, however, were never in “mint” condition to begin with, due to the fact that the packaging material has sometimes been so-called machine board or other relatively porous cardboard.

And one final note: some of the titles are available in only a single copy, others in around a dozen copies. So if these are missing from your collection and you’ve been looking for them, this is a great opportunity. Prices are exactly the same as on their original release day. For shipping, I recommend registered mail. Within the EU, a registered parcel or Parcel Connect. Outside the EU, a registered parcel, and within Finland, a standard postal parcel.
